01 / At a glance

Before you decide.

Choose Inlockly if…

  • You want to share a password with someone who doesn't have an account - with a secure link.
  • You need shared family vaults with permissions and an admin dashboard.
  • You want simple pricing, billed monthly or yearly, without a two-year commitment.
  • You want a 30-day change history for items, so you can undo an accidental edit.

What Inlockly doesn't have yet

  • Passkey storage.
  • Vault access for a trusted contact (for example, in case of death) - instead, a recovery key and a family or company admin.
  • Email masking - coming soon.

02 / Key differences

What you get with Inlockly.

  • No signing out on the paid plan.

Free NordPass allows one active session at a time - signing in on your phone signs out your computer. Inlockly Personal works on all your devices at once.

  • Share with people without an account.

In NordPass, you can only share an item with another NordPass user. Inlockly sends a secure link to anyone - like your plumber or babysitter.

  • A real family plan.

Shared vaults with permissions, an admin dashboard, and moving items between vaults - your family shares exactly what it wants.

  • Item change history.

Overwrote a password or deleted a note by accident? In Inlockly, you can undo the change with 30 days of history for entire items.

  • Flexible, simple billing.

Pay monthly or yearly, at the same transparent price. No need to sign up for two years to get a good deal.

  • SafetyMeter™ and breach alerts.

Password health and breach alerts in one place - the counterpart to NordPass's Password Health and Data Breach Scanner.

04 / Making the switch

Switch from NordPass in three steps.

  1. Export your data from NordPass.

In the NordPass desktop app settings, choose to export items and save the CSV file.

  2. Import it into Inlockly.

Open import in the Inlockly app and select the file. Your data is encrypted on your device before it reaches the cloud.

  3. Delete the file and install the apps.

The export file isn't encrypted - delete it after importing. Then install Inlockly on your phone and in your browser.

Import is available on every plan, including Free. Import guide ↗

05 / Good to know

Questions about switching from NordPass.

Does free NordPass work on both my phone and computer?

You can install it on several devices, but on the free plan only one session is active at a time - signing in on a second device ends the session on the first. With Inlockly Personal, you use all your devices at once.

Can I share a password in NordPass with someone who doesn't have an account?

No - you can only share items with other NordPass users. From the Personal plan, Inlockly creates a secure link anyone can open, even without an account.

XChaCha20 or AES-256 - which is more secure?

Both ciphers are considered secure and are used in modern systems. What matters more is where your data is encrypted - in both Inlockly and NordPass, it happens on your device, using a zero-knowledge model.

How do I move my passwords from NordPass to Inlockly?

Export your items from the NordPass desktop app to a CSV file, then import the file in the Inlockly app. Delete the export file when you're done.
