Feature · Activity history

Every change
has a history.

The company log shows who added, changed, shared, or deleted data, who joined the team, and how permissions changed. Item history lets you undo a change.

Available on: Team, Business.

Every entry is a sentence: who, what, and when. Click a person or an item to dig deeper.

01 / How it works

From question to answer in seconds.

  1. Open the company log.

The latest events are at the top, and older ones load as you scroll.

  2. Narrow the view.

Filter by person or category: company, folders, departments, members, invitations, items, and subscription.

  3. Restore a version.

Item history shows previous versions with the author and changed fields. Restoring a version is logged too.

02 / Capabilities

The full picture of changes in your company.

  • Over 60 event types.

Items, folders, departments, members, invitations, shares, and the subscription - everything that changes access to company data.

  • Filter by person.

Click a person in an entry to see everything they did and everything that concerned them. Handy when an employee leaves.

  • History for every item.

Up to 100 versions per item: 90 days on the Team plan and 180 days on Business. Restore with one click.

  • See exactly what changed.

In item history, changed fields are highlighted, and each version shows the author and date.

  • Sharing under control.

Creating and revoking a link to a company item goes into the log - you know what left the team, and when.

  • Permission changes, side by side.

When a person's or department's permissions change, the log shows exactly what was granted and what was taken away.

03 / Security

A log that never looks at passwords.

Activity history records facts, not vault contents. The zero-knowledge model applies here too.

  • No password contents.

The log stores who did what and when. Item names are decrypted on your device, from the encrypted vault.

  • Versions encrypted like items.

Previous item versions are encrypted with the same key as the company vault. The server can't read them.

  • Access based on permissions.

Item history in a folder is visible only to people with the change history permission for that folder.

04 / Who it's for

For companies that need to know.

For teams and businesses

Accountability without extra tools.

The activity log is included on the Team and Business plans. On personal plans, every item has a 30-day change history.

05 / Good to know

Have questions?
Start here.

Does the log show who viewed or copied a password?

No. The log records changes: adding, editing, deleting, moving, and sharing items, plus changes to members, departments, and permissions. It doesn't record viewing or copying a password.

How long is item history kept?

90 days on the Team plan, 180 days on Business, and 30 days on the Personal and Family plans. Each item keeps up to 100 versions.

Is history lost if I downgrade my plan?

No. Versions outside the new plan's window are hidden, and they become visible again if you move back to a higher plan.

Who can see the activity log?

People with permission to manage company settings - usually admins. The history of a specific item is visible to people with the change history permission for that folder.
