01 / The challenge

Passwords scattered across the company
are a risk nobody owns.

When logins live in spreadsheets and messages, nobody knows how many there are, who knows them, or whether they're secure. The problem usually surfaces at the worst possible moment.

  • Passwords in spreadsheets and chats.

A "passwords.xlsx" file on the shared drive, a login in a message from last year. Every copy is one more place data can leak from.

  • People leave, access stays.

An employee leaves, but their passwords stay in their head, on their personal phone, and in their browser. It's hard to tell which accounts need to be secured.

  • Weak and reused passwords.

One password for many systems is convenient - until a breach. Without a shared tool, you can't see where your company is most exposed.

02 / How Inlockly helps

One company vault.
Clear rules for everyone.

Inlockly organizes access to company accounts and gives admins control - without looking into employees' private passwords.

Departments and permissions

Your company structure, mapped to access.

Create departments, assign them folders, and set permissions once - for every member of the department. New people get access the moment they join, and leaving the department takes it away.

  • 13 permissions per folder - from view-only to managing the folder.
  • Sign in with autofill without seeing the password.
  • Nobody can grant others more permissions than they have themselves.

03 / A real-world scenario

What does it look like
at a real company?

Sample scenario

Emily Ward

Director of Operations

Distribution company · Columbus, OH

  • 45 people
  • 4 departments
  • about 300 company accounts
The challenge

After a sales rep left, nobody knew which client portals and supplier accounts he'd had access to. The team spent two days changing passwords "just in case."

Before

  • Passwords in a spreadsheet on the shared drive and in messages.
  • Access granted ad hoc, with no record of who got what.
  • When someone leaves, it's guesswork which passwords to change.
  • Nobody knows how many passwords are weak or reused.

With Inlockly

  • Passwords in department folders: Leadership, Sales, Accounting, Marketing.
  • New hires get their department's access the moment they join.
  • The log shows what a departing employee had been using.
  • SafetyMeter™ points to the departments whose passwords need changing.

The person and company are fictional. The scenario shows a typical rollout and Inlockly features that are available today.

04 / Rollout

From spreadsheet to vault in three steps.

  1. Import your passwords.

Move data from browsers, CSV spreadsheets, or another password manager. Items go into company folders.

  2. Map your departments.

Create departments, choose their members and managers, then assign folders with permissions to each department.

  3. Invite your people.

Send invitations and approve new members. Each person also gets a private vault and a Family plan for their loved ones.

05 / Good to know

Have questions?
Start here.

Can admins see employees' private passwords?

No. Every member has a private vault encrypted with their own key. Admins only manage the company data they have permissions for.

What happens to access when an employee leaves?

You remove them from the company, and their devices delete company data at the next sync. The activity log shows which folders they had access to - it's a good idea to change the passwords for those accounts.

Does Inlockly support single sign-on (SSO)?

No. You sign in to Inlockly with your master password, and your account is also protected by two-step verification: an authenticator app, a YubiKey, or an email code.

Where is my data stored?

On servers in the European Union. Data is encrypted on your device before it reaches the server - nobody at Inlockly can see it.

Can I deploy Inlockly on my own infrastructure?

Our Enterprise offering includes that option. We agree on the scope and terms individually.
